Shy and easily frightened, but quietly brave underneath; curls into a ball when scared and slowly learns to uncurl and trust. Gentle, soft-spoken, deeply observant, and grateful. Feels different because of her armor — and discovers that's the very thing she shares with Shelldon. Warms up beautifully once she feels safe; the heart of the "you're not alone" theme.

quick, leaping golden lion tamarin
Energetic, quick, and bursting with curiosity — leaps first and looks later, just like Dash. Bold, playful, a little impulsive (which is exactly how he got separated from his family). Big-hearted and eager to keep up; learns that the careful, steady way is what makes a leap land safely. Warms up fast once he feels safe — bouncy comic energy with a sweet, hopeful core.

Gentle, shy, and easily startled — hides when scared (a tapir needs forest cover, so the bare clearing terrifies her). Quietly curious and sweet-natured, with a deep, patient calm that mirrors Wiggle. Doesn't realize her own quiet power: everywhere she wanders, the seeds she drops grow into new forest — she's a little gardener who plants hope without knowing it. Warms up slowly into trusting, brave, and full of wonder.

Shy baby flying fox · the misunderstood friend
Shy, gentle, and easily frightened — wraps himself in his wings and hides when scared, which is exactly why the forest mistakes him for a "monster". Sweet, soft-spoken, and a little lonely at first; awake at night when everyone else sleeps. Secretly a forest helper — wherever he visits the night-blooms, flowers open and fruit grows. Curious and brave underneath; blossoms into a warm, trusting friend once someone bothers to truly see him.

Night-watch owl · recurring cameo
Calm, wise, kindly, unhurried — the steady elder of the night. Speaks rarely and warmly in short reassuring lines, never fusses or frightens. Counterpart to Skye: she keeps watch by day, he keeps watch by night. His presence is a quiet promise that the dark is watched and safe. Gentle night-grandfather, not stern sentinel. He is the one exception to the night-prompt "eyes closed" rule — always deliberately awake on watch with calm half-lidded golden eyes.

My Daughter
Bright, gentle, and brimming with wonder. Gianna is a tiny explorer who loves every creature — she'll crouch in the grass to meet a ladybug eye-to-eye, then leap up with both fists in the air for the pure joy of it. Curious and tender-hearted, quick to delight, soft toward small and shy things. She is the spark of imagination behind the whole forest: where the Foragers are the world, Gianna is the wonder that brings it to life. Emotional range (from her pose sheet): cheery and bouncing (Cheery Walk / Jump for Joy), quietly curious and careful (Crouch & Explore), softly pensive (Thoughtful Stand), and her signature beaming joy. Lock these as her core expression set.

The calm, quiet, sleepy half of the opposites pair. Where Yang pounces, Yin watches; where Yang chases a leaf, Yin naps in a sunbeam. Gentle and curious, night-loving, content to curl up nose-to-tail with her brother. Together they form a living yin-yang — apart they are each only half the fun.
